How to schedule a rent increase

You can schedule your rent to be increased for your tenancy on myRent by following the steps below.

Step 1: Go into your chosen tenancy.

Step 2: Go to Settings

Step 3: Go to Rent settings Image Description

Step 4: Select Rent increase Image Description

Step 5: Choose your required option. Image Description

A) Serve notice  (go to Step 6)

B) Notice has already been served (go to Step 7)

Step 6: Choose your start date (defaults to 60 days in the future if eligble to increase rent) & enter your new weekly rent amount.

Select Review to see how your rent statement will be affected

Step 7: Choose your start date & enter your new weekly rent amount.

To select a previous date you can select show all dates.

Upload your written copy of your rent increase that has already been served. (can be done at a later date)

Select Save

TIP: If a rent increase starts and/or ends partway through a rent period, a prorated charge will be created. To avoid this, a rent increase should start on the first day of a rent period. (you can see your rent period dates on the current rent statement shown on the page).
