How to add an address that won't display in the address finder

If the exact address you want to add doesn't display in the address finder, you can add this address manually by following the steps below.

Step 1: If you have tried searching your address and it doesn't come up, please select the blue "Can't find your address?" link

Step 2: Search for an adjacent address that comes up in the search bar and select it.

Step 3: Fill in the details of your address that you want to add and select "Next"

Step 4: Continue with the process of creating your listing

This process is especially helpful if:
- you have a specific apartment or unit number that won't show;
- you have a granny flat that is being rented out separately to the main house (e.g. try adding a letter to the street number to show that it is an independent unit);
- the property you're trying to advertise is a new build, and the NZ Post database is yet to be updated.
