A rustic and quirky haven in the bush for the easy-going, sustainably-minded, artistic, meditative, community-spirited and anyone who enjoys peaceful living close to nature. Off-grid vibe but still connected to power/water/internet. Looking for friendly, easy-going types for long term.
Suits one to two people, with a living area and wood burner, and a deck overlooking forest. Built around a giant kahikatea.
FURNISHINGS & APPLIANCES
The photos are for reference from previous residents, so current furnishings and appliances are:
-Queen bed and mattress
-Desk
-Fridge/freezer
-Cooker
-Toaster oven
-Toaster
-Dehumidifier
-Built in wardrobe.
The deck and bathroom are private.
The toilet & laundry are shared.
We also have chickens, an eco-composting outhouse toilet, and lots of protected native forest.
PETS
No cats or dogs but other pets would be OK (rabbits etc). A laid back young guy lives nearby and shares the outhouse and laundry.
ACCESS
20 minutes to Piha, 10 minutes to Glen Eden shops, 30 minutes to the city.
BILLS
Flat rate rent includes utilities (fibre, hot water, and power) for one person (total $450 per week flat rate).
Move in costs are 4 weeks bond and one week rent in advance.
PARKING
Car parking is right outside although small vehicles will be able to turn around easier - hatchbacks, small 4x4s and motorbikes no problem - Demio, Note, Tiida, Golf, Fit, Swift, Jimny etc. Gravel drive so not suitable for very low cars.
