Can I access my tenancy information once it ends / once the subscription ends?

21 April 2022

Yes, we store your tenancy information for a year after your tenancy ends or your subscription expires.

Under the Residential Tenancies Act s123A (1), landlords must keep copies of certain tenancy documents for the duration of the tenancy and 12 months after the termination. These include:

  • Tenancy agreement and variations
  • Inspection reports
  • Copies of advertising
  • Notices and correspondence between a landlord and a tenant or prospective tenants

Before the expiry of 12 months, we will send an email to you, reminding you that the data will be deleted and providing links and the opportunity to save any documents you'd like to keep.

You can always choose to delete the tenancy yourself by following these steps:

Step 1: Select the tenancy on your Dashboard

Step 2: Go to Settings on the side menu

Step 3: Select "Archive or Delete from myRent"

Step 4: Select "Delete Tenancy"
