How to change the starting balance of a tenancy

If you’re setting up an existing tenancy that had an arrears or credit balance when it was started in myRent, you can add a starting balance by following the steps below:

Step 1: Go to your chosen Tenancy

Step 2: Go to Settings

Step 3: Select Rent settings

Step 4: Select Rent starting balance

Step 5: Enter the amount of arrears or credit and press Save. If it is an arrears amount you will need to add a minus symbol prior to the number entered in order to create a a negative balance.
